XAT 2019 Registration – XLRI, Jamshedpur has started accepting the XAT 2019 Registration from 20th August 2018. The XAT registration window without the late fee will remain open till 30th November 2018. However, the latecomers will also be provided with the chance to fill the XAT 2019 application form till 3rd week of December 2018. If you commit any error while filling the application form, then the correction window will remain open while the registration process i.e. from 20th August to the 3rd week of December 2018. The XAT 2019 exam will take place on 6th January 2019 from 10 AM to 1 PM. This year the apex body has declared few changes in XAT 2019 in terms of the application fee, exam pattern, test cities, and duration of the exam.
There is a slight hike of INR 50 in the application fee of XAT 2019. Hence, the candidates need to pay INR 1700 to submit their XAT 2019 application form successfully. On the other hand, the aspirants need to pay INR 200 for XAT 2019 registration with the late fee. The specialized XLRI programme fee for each programme will remain unchanged i.e. INR 300 for each programme (without late fee) and INR 500 for each programme (with late fee).
XAT 2019 registration will be made available through official website only. The aspirants just need to click on ‘Register for XAT 2019’ and a form will open where they need to create their XAT ID and Password, which will be referred for the further registration process. The XAT dashboard login credentials will be sent on the Email ID and Mobile No. of the students individually. Now the candidates can login into their account using the XAT ID & Password.

First of all, they need to furnish their personal details such as Name, Parents Name, Email ID, and Contact No, Correspondence Address, and select their preferred XAT 2019 Test Cities. After that, they need to upload their photograph and signature in the predefined format. The second step will ask the candidates to provide their academic details. In the third step, they need to mention work-experience (if applicable). The 4th step will be about choosing the specialized XLRI programmes. In the last step, the application fee submission will be done through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. This year XLRI would not accept the application fee through any method other than the online payment. The last step would be the final submission of the XAT 2019 application form and that’s it.
One of the major changes announced by the authority this year is the decrease in the number of XAT 2019 test cities. This year the exam will be conducted at 46 locations that too within the boundaries of India. Agartala, Dubai, and Kathmandu have been eliminated from the list of XAT 2019 exam centers. Last year, there were 49 XAT test cities including the foreign locations.
Another change reported is in the XAT 2019 exam pattern. There will be no essay-based subjective question in the XAT 2019 question paper. The candidates with not a knack for writing must be pleased with this change as they will now not have to write the essay.
But the authority has also decided to decrease the duration of the exam as well. The participants will be given 3 hours i.e. 180 minutes to solve the question paper; hence, they need to concentrate more on the time management this year. Last year, the aspirants were given 3 hours and 35 minutes. This year Part A will include 74 questions and in the Part B, the candidates have to face 24 questions.
XLRI Jamshedpur will not send the admit card individually to any of the candidates. The aspirants, who successfully fill the application form, will be provided with the opportunity to download XAT 2019 Admit Card from 20th December 2018.
