National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the date schedule for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2019. The schedule declared while the announcement of NTA as the conducting body of CMAT has been changed completely by the regulatory body. According to the latest updates, the new dates of CMAT 2019 have been released by NTA. As per the new timetable of CMAT 2019, the registration period has been expanded and there are minor changes in the schedule of this exam. This announcement also encompasses the dates of admit card release and result declaration of CMAT 2019.
The CMAT 2019 registration window will open 10 days after the previous schedule as per the new update disseminated by NTA. Earlier, it was supposed to open from 22 October 2018 and now, the CMAT registration will be accepted by 30 November, 2018. The aspirants are given the ample time period of 1 month to file their CMAT application forms. In the previous update, the last date to submit the CMAT 2019 application form was 15 December, 2018. The candidates who belong to general & OBC category will have to pay Rs. 1400/- as application fee whereas it is Rs.700/- for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Female candidate.
The CMAT 2019 exam date has been postponed to be held on 28th January 2019 which is earlier destined to take place on 27th January 2019. Unlike JEE Main 2019, the CMAT will be organized once in a year by NTA in one day only. The participants will be able to download the admit card of CMAT 2019 from January 07, 2019. They just need to feed the official website of NTA with their registration ID & password to generate their admit cards.
NTA has also revealed the date of CMAT 2019 result as well which is going to be announced on 10 February 2019. CMAT result and merit list declaration will be followed by the counselling where the qualified candidates will be allotted seats in the colleges that validate CMAT 2019 score. AICTE approved colleges and universities consider CMAT score. NTA, in this update, has not announced the exact schedule for counselling and further admission process.
CMAT is given the recognition as a national level management entrance exam which is a gateway to admission in AICTE approved colleges in PG-level management courses. NTA has indicated no changes in the exam pattern of CMAT. Like the previous year, the question paper will be divided into 4 sections, each section comprising 25 questions. Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, Language Comprehension, and, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation will be the major subjects.
It will be the first year for NTA to experience the facilitation of CMAT 2019. Earlier, AICTE used to organize this exam. Hence, the aspirants are advised not to consider AICTE’s official website, rather they need to visit the official website of NTA now to grab information about CMAT 2019. NTA has been assigned with the responsibility of conducting this exam by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
