NMAT 2018 Selection Procedure – Since the NMAT 2018 result has been declared on 16th January 2019, all the candidates who have appeared in the entrance test must download it on a priority basis to participate in selection procedure round. with the declaration of NMAT 2018 result, the authority will send the score of the candidates to the college/institute which they had chosen in the application form. After sending the score of the candidates, the participating institutions will shortlist the candidates for the selection procedure round wherein they have to go through Group Discussion (GD), Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD), and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Lastly, the final merit list will be released comprising the names of the selected candidates who can take admission into the particular college/university for the postgraduate management programs such as MBA, PGDM, PGDBM etc. Also, read the article to the end to have detailed info about the same.

NMAT 2018 Cutoff

The NMAT 2018 cutoff is the minimum marks that would be required by the candidates for being eligible to attend the later rounds of the Admission procedure in order to be able to get admission into the participating institutes of the NMAT 2018. The cutoff of the NMAT cutoff will be prepared after the declaration of the result for the NMAT 2018 Entrance Exam. On the basis of the NMAT 2018 cutoff, the conducting boy will prepare the merit list.

Expected Cutoff for NMAT 2018

    The cutoff percentile of NMAT 2018 will be released soon as the result for the same has been declared on 16th January 2019. However, the cutoff percentile does not remain the same every year. Therefore, depending on the factors such as difficulty level of the exam, previous year’s cutoff, availability of seats, the cutoff percentile can vary this year as well.     NMAT 2018 Selection Procedure

    NMAT 2018 selection procedure will start since the NMAT 2018 result has been declared on 16th January 2018 in online mode. The NMAT 2018 Selection Procedure will be conducted by the Participating Institutes of the NMAT 2018 separately. Candidates have to face Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to clear the selection procedure round and to get into their choice of college/institute.

    The marks of the candidates will be sent to their chosen participating institutes while registering. Once the candidates will get the NMAT 2018 marks, the candidates who will secure NMAT 2018 Merit List rank will be called for the NMAT 2018 selection procedure. The selection procedure of the participating institutes will be different for different participating colleges. The NMAT 2018 selection procedure will consist of the following rounds:

    • Group Discussion

    The group discussion is used to select candidates for admission. For Group Discussion, the candidates will be called to a room in the group of 10-15 candidates. All the candidates will be given a topic, on which they will require to keep their point of view. All the candidates who will be able to keep their point of view in a better way will be shortlisted for the next round. The group discussion is one of the best methods to know the personality of a group of candidates within a short period of time.

    • Personal Interview

    The Personal Interview of the candidates will be taken after the group discussion. All the candidates will be called individually for the conversation. The motive of the Personal Interview round is to know the behavior, communication skills and about the Personality of the candidates.

    • The participating candidates may also conduct a Case Discussion for shortlisting candidates and to test the Writing Ability of the candidates.

    After the PI round, all the original documents of the candidates will be verified for authenticity if all the documents are original. Then the participating institutes will provide the candidates with admission into the course that is opted for by them during the Registration process of NMAT 2018.

    Documents required for NMAT 2018 Counselling

    Candidates while going for the counseling process have to carry several documents along with them for verification which will be done by the concerned authority. Therefore, let’s have a look at the documents which the candidates should hold:

    • NMAT Call Letter
    • NMAT Admit Card
    • DD as per the defined guidelines by GMAC
    • Passport size recent photograph
    • Matriculation (10th) and Intermediate (12th) certificates
    • Scorecard of NMAT 2018
    • Caste certificate signed by authorized authority (for those belonging to the reserved category)
