    MICAT Previous Year Question Papers – Syllabus

    The test paper is divided into six sections. Now, let’s have a look at the MICAT syllabus which will help the candidates to crack the exam.

    Syllabus for Verbal Ability: In this section grammar and vocabulary is checked and there is a negative marking of ¼ for every wrong answer. The important topics of this section are tenses, article, Vocabulary, Pronouns and Comprehension passage.

    Syllabus for Quantitative Ability: The important topics of this section are Algebra, Numbers, Geometry, Set Theory, Trigonometry, Arithmetic, and DI.

    Syllabus for General Awareness: The candidates must be well versed with economics, business and about companies. There is a negative marking of ¼ for every wrong answer. The topics include Current Affairs, Geography, Companies and their owner, Sports News, Advertising and Marketing, Indian Constitution, Science and Research, Politics, Literature, and History.

    Syllabus for Divergent-Convergent Reasoning: This section includes the following topics Data Sufficiency, Sequence and Series, Word Association, Visual Reasoning, and Statement- Assumption

    Syllabus for Psychometric Test: It is mandatory to attempt all the questions from this section as it consists of multiple choice questions. This section is designed to check the candidate’s behavior, thinking ability, weakness, strength etc.

    Syllabus for Descriptive Test:

    • Essay Writing – In this section, the candidate will be given a topic and they have to write an essay around 250 words giving their opinion regarding the topic.
    • Story Writing – In this section, the candidates will be given several pictures and they have to write a story seeing that picture.

    MICAT Previous Year Question Papers- Preparation Tips

    • Before solving the previous year question paper the candidates must be thoro with the syllabus.

    MICAT Previous year question Paper – Selection Procedure

    There will be three- steps of MICAT 2019 selection procedure. Read further to know the details.

    Step – I

    It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in any of this exam – CAT 2018, XAT 2019 and GMAT 2017.   Only after this, the candidates will be able to appear in MICAT 2019. The candidates must note that the scores of the above exam will also play a vital role in the admission process.

    Step –II – MICAT exam

    The candidates will now have to appear in MICAT 2019 exam. After qualifying the exam, the candidates will be called for GD (Group Discussion) & PI (Personal Interview) rounds.

    Step –III – GD & PI and preparation of Merit List

    • The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT, XAT, GMAT and MICAT scores.
    • Once the merit list is prepared the candidate will be called to attend GD & PI round.
    • The candidates will have to go to one of these cities to attend the GD & PI rounds – Delhi Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmadabad, and Bangalore.
