
MICAT 2019 – MICAT, an acronym for MICA Admission Test is a university level entrance test which is conducted twice a year by Mudra Institutes of Communications, Ahmedabad for the candidates intended to pursue Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Communications (PGDMC). The entrance test of MICAT I 2019 was conducted on 1st December 2018 and the result for the same declared on 18th December 2019. On the other hand, the MICAT-II was conducted on 9th February 2019 and the result was declared on 19th February 2019. Since the result for both MICAT-I and II have been released, the examination conducting authority has made the announcement of the shortlisted candidates on 20th February 2019. Now, the selected candidates have to go for the selection procedure round that involves Group Exercise and Personal Interview round and lastly, the merit list will be released containing the names of the candidates who can take admission in the MICA Institute. MICAT Application 2019
Candidates should read carefully and follow all terms & conditions mentioned in the brochure before applying for MICAT Registration 2019. Let’s have a look below to some important updates:
- MICAT 2019 application form has been made available online from 20th December 2018 and can be submitted until 30th January 2019.
- MICAT-I registration procedure was started from 24th August 2018 whereas MICAT II registration process has been commenced from 20th December 2018 and will continue until 30th January 2019.
- The first step is to register on the official website have to enter the name, email id, mobile no., captcha to generate the id and password that will be sent to the registered email ids of the applicants.
- Using the same login credentials, the candidates can log in and fill & submit their application form before the last date of registration.
MICAT Registration Fee 2019
- The candidates have to pay Rs. 1985/- as a registration fee of MICAT 2019.
- The conducting authority accepts payment through multiple modes of online payment including Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Demand Draft.
MICAT 2019 Eligibility criteria
The conducting authority accepts the MICAT application of candidates fulfilling the below eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification: The candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) can apply for MICAT.
- Candidates pursuing the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the same.
MICAT Exam Pattern 2019
Candidates are advised to check MICAT 2019 Exam Pattern to prepare for the exam accordingly:
- Exam Mode: The exam will be organized through online mode. It will be a CBT (Computer-based Test)
- Question Type: Both types of questions will be faced by the candidates: objective as well as subjective.
- Exam Duration: The total exam duration will be 2 hours and 45 minutes and it will be divided as:
- Section I– 35 Minutes
- Section II– 130 Minutes
- Negative Marking: Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable on Part 2 only. Part 1 and Part 3 will be exempted from negative marking.
- Sections: The paper will be divided into 6 sections of Part 1, 2, and 3. Refer the below table for a better understanding:

MICAT Admit Card 2019
MICAT 2019 Admit Card will be provided online only for the candidates to download. The candidates just need to log in through their credentials and download the admit card. No entry will be permitted in the examination hall.
The MICAT-I Admit Card was made available online on 26th November 2018. For MICAT –II the admit card has been made available from 4th February 2019.
MICAT Results 2019
MICAT 2019 Results is announced twice- once after the written test of MICAT and second time, once the candidates will be tested in GD & PI rounds.
MICAT-I Result was declared on 18th December 2018 whereas, the result of MICAT-II was declared on 19th February 2019
The result can be viewed through online mode. On the basis of written result, candidates will be called for further admission rounds.
MICAT 2019 Selection Procedure
There will be a 3-step selection process for MICAT 2019. Read further to know in detail:
Step 1: CAT 2018/ GMAT 2017/ XAT 2019
- It is mandatory for each candidate to appear in one of the above exams. Only after that, the candidates will be eligible for MICAT 2019.
Step-2: MICAT
- The candidates, who have already appeared in CAT 2018/ GMAT 2017/ XAT 2019, have to now appear in MICAT Exam 2019.
- After qualifying MICAT Exam, the candidates will get the invitation for GD (Group Discussion) & PI (Personal Interaction) rounds.
Step-3: GD & PI
- The performance of the candidates will be assessed collectively in CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT exam to call them for GD & PI rounds.
- The final merit list will be structured on the basis of the performance of the candidates in all 3 rounds of the selection procedure.
- After that, the final selection of the candidates will be done.
- Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, and Bangalore are the designated cities for GE & PI rounds.
MICAT Admission 2019
Now you must be aware of the fact that MICAT admission 2019 will solely depend on candidates’ collective score in MICAT, GD, and PI rounds followed by CAT/ GMAT/ XAT scores. The best of two MICAT scores will also be applicable for admissions.
If any candidate has appeared either in CAT & GMAT/ CAT & XAT/ XAT & GMAT or in all of these three entrance exams, then the best of two will be counted for while admission procedure.
