
IIM 2019 Cutoff – The cutoff is the minimum marks or percentage a candidate requires in order qualifying for the next round of selection procedure. For the next round of selection procedure, only those candidates will be shortlisted who will qualify CAT 2018 entrance exam and meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes i.e. IIMs. The exam will be conducted by IIM Calcutta in the month of November and the result will be announced in the month of January 2019; hence, CAT 2018 will be conducted to screen the candidates for academic session of 2019-21 in IIMs. The most awaited time for a candidate will be over, with the release of the IIM 2019 cutoff. With the announcement of the result, the cutoff will be declared by each participating institute. The IIM 2019 cutoff will depend on various factors such as the total number of candidates appearing for the CAT 2018 exam, difficulty level of the exam and number of seats available. CAT is conducted every year by IIMs on a rotational basis for the admission in MBA and PGDM course offered by IIMs and 100 other top B- schools in the country. IIM 2018 Cutoff – Know about what is Cutoff
The cutoff is the minimum percentile a candidate requires to qualify and get shortlisted for the next round of admission. The cut off is released by the participating institutes after the announcement of the result and the cutoff of each institute varies. The cutoff criteria comprise overall and sectional percentile, whereas the category wise cutoff criteria differ. For general category candidates, cutoff criteria are higher whereas for NC – OBC, SC, ST candidates the cutoff criteria are low.
CAT Cutoff 2018 – Determining Factors
The cutoff marks for any exam depends on various factors. Let’s have a look at the factors that govern the cutoff:

- Difficulty level of the exam
- Ranking and reputation of the institute
- Number of candidates qualifying for the exam.
However, the cutoff for old IIMs and top B- School is 99 percentile. For new, IIMs including IIM Ranchi, IIM Sambalpur, etc. have 90 percentile and above whereas for two tier and four the cutoff range from 80 to 50 percentile.

About CAT
CAT (Common Admission Test) is conducted each year for the applicants willing to pursue MBA courses from the top management colleges. To seek admission, the candidates need to qualify CAT 2018 exam. Around two lakh candidates appear every year for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
