IIFT 2019 Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E for Quantitative Aptitude

The questions asked in the Quantitative Section were moderate as compared to the previous year’s IIFT exam. In this section, the questions were from different topics which were moderate or easy-moderate in difficulty level. However, among 20 questions, candidates with an ideal preparation could have attempted 10 questions with accuracy. Therefore, 10 questions out of 20 were considered as good attempt. The questions asked in the Verbal Ability section were based on the topics that were punctuation, phrases/clauses in the given sentences, prefix/suffix etc. Apart from this, candidates had to identify the type of phrases, and questions based on analogy, sentence correction were also asked. Total 20 MCQs were asked in the section of Verbal Ability which was moderate in level of difficulty. In this section, candidates would get 0.75 marks for attempting the correct answer.

IIFT 2019 Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E for Reading Comprehension (RC)

This section had questions of moderate level. Total 16 questions were asked in RC section in which 4 passages were asked with 3 questions each and 1 passage had 4 questions. The passages in RC section were based on Crisis on Currency, Groupon as the fastest growing company, competitors and the analytics, and transformation in reading.

IIFT 2019 Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E for Data Interpretation

The DI section had the questions which were moderate in level of difficulty and were based on data and tables. In DI section, some of the questions were calculation intensive which needed huge calculation. The questions from DI section were based on Company’s production and average output data, traffic handled by ports, data on Import-Export, monthly prices on commodities in US dollar, wholesale price and inflation trends. Therefore, lastly, we can say that the questions were lengthy in nature and out of 20 questions, 4-5 were considered as the good number of attempts in the section of Data Interpretation (DI).

The questions asked in the section of Logical Reasoning were moderate in level as neither there were very difficult questions nor the easier. However, questions based on input-output were somewhat time-consumed and needed a good concentration level to solve. The questions which were asked in Logical Reasoning section were based on Statement-Conclusions, 5 players, problem on 5 MBA students, team-based questions, and coding machine generating pass codes. Moreover, out of 20 questions, solving 11-12 questions were considered as good attempt.

IIFT 2019 Exam Analysis by T.I.M.E for General Awareness

The questions asked in the section of General Awareness were moderate in difficulty level. Total 18 MCQs were asked in this section out of which 8-9 questions were considered as the good attempt. Most of the questions asked were based on International Affairs.
