    DU JAT 2019 Participating Institutes: Selection Procedure

    The selection procedure of DU JAT is conducted by Delhi University most probably in the month of July and the candidates who have qualified the entrance exam are eligible for selection round. However, the selection round is followed by the announcement of the result; the cutoff is also released immediately along with the list of the shortlisted candidates. The candidates meeting the cutoff criteria released by the university are shortlisted and the list of the shortlisted candidates are announced.

    The selection procedure consists of GD and PI round where the candidates have to attend this if they are willing to study from Delhi University. Therefore, the shortlisted candidates are then called for GD and PI. The aspirants appearing for this round must qualify both the rounds to be eligible for admission.  After all the rounds of selection procedure are over, the final merit list will be announced and the candidates will be called for counselling process. The merit list announced is based on the following parameters and weightage which is given in the table below.

    DU JAT 2019 Participating Institutes: Counselling Procedure

    The counselling procedure will begin after the deceleration of the result and completion of the GD and PI round; a final merit list will be prepared and the candidates will be called to participate in the counselling process. The counselling procedure will most probably be scheduled in the month of July. At the time of counselling the candidates will be informed about the course and the name of the college.

    The counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds depending on the remaining seat. Firstly, the candidates will be given dates when they have to appear for the counselling process based on their rank. The candidates will then have to appear for counselling and submit documents for verification. After this the candidates will have to select the names of the colleges and courses they want to study are clarified by the applicants, the authority will lock the seat as per the availability. The documents that are required to be carried are Class 12th mark sheet, character certificate, passing certificate, category certificate, eight passport size photograph and DU JAT admit card.

    About DU JAT

    DU JAT or Joint Admission Test is a national level entrance exam conducted every year for the candidates willing to pursue an undergraduate program at Delhi University’s affiliated institutes. The exam conducted will be offline that is pen paper based in the month of June. The test paper will consist of multiple choice questions divided into four sections and the time allotted to the candidates to complete the exam will be two hours. The test paper will consist of 100 question carrying 300 marks in overall and each correct answer carries 3 marks whereas -1 will be deducted for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. DU JAT result will be declared in the month of July.
