CAT 2018 Notification – The notification of Common Aptitude Test (CAT) has been released by the conducting body i.e. IIM Calcutta on 29th July 2018. Now, the candidates who have really made the mindset to appear in the entrance test of the CAT 2018 registration themselves first, as the registration process has started from August 8th 2018. The registration of CAT 2018 will be done through online mode by visiting the official website of IIM. Therefore, it is mandatory for the candidates to complete the registration process in order to fill the application form. Further, the candidates also need to pay the application fee along with the application form that will cost Rs. 1900 /-. Therefore, for the general category candidates, the amount is Rs. 1900/- and for the reserved category candidates, the application fee will be of Rs. 950 /-. While filling the application form, the candidates will be asked to choose their exam center as per their choice or preference. In case any candidates fill the wrong information in the application form, they will get a chance for the re-correction too. But, try to fill out the correct information in the first attempt merely.
According to the notification released by IIM Calcutta, the eligibility criteria set up for the aspiring candidates are same as per the previous year. Accordingly, the candidates of general category must have completed their graduation with at least 50% of aggregate marks form well-recognized university or college. Apart from the general category candidates, there will be the relaxation of 5% for those of reserved category (SC, ST, and PWD).
Hereby, if we discuss the reservation policy, 15% of seats will be reserved for the candidates of Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for those of Scheduled Tribes (ST), 27% for those candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (NC-OBC) and 3% seats are reserved for Person with Disability (PWD).
