NOIDA– Bihar Secondary Education Board (BSEB) has declared Bihar Matric Board Result 2019 with the overall pass percentage of 80.73%. Sawan Raj Bharti, the topper is from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya (SAV) in Jamui and he scored 97.2%. The BSEB matric exams were conducted between February 21 and 28 at 1,148 centers within Bihar state and today on 6th April BSEB chairman Anand Kishor announced the results.
Last year the overall pass percentage was 68.89% which has now improved by 11.84% and touched the figure of 80.73.
SAV students also occupied the second and third rank. Ronit Raj with 96.6% and Priyanshu Raj with 96.2% bagged second and third rank respectively. Last year, the girls from SAV were the toppers in Bihar Matric exams. However, none of the girls could make place in the topper’s list this year.
Out of 8 students in the toppers list released by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor, 16 are from SAV Jamui and the other two are from Madhubani and west Champaran.
Total number of students who appeared in the matriculation exam this year was 16,35,070- out of which 8,08,736 boys and 8, 26,334 girls passed. While 2,90,666 students attained first division, 5,56,131 were in the slot of second division and 4,54, 450 qualified the exam with third division.
The number of failed student in matriculation exam is 3,14,8134 while 179 results are withheld which were thousands in numbers previous years. Between April 9 and 18, students can apply for scrutiny of their papers and the compartment forms will be provided between April 11 and April 16.
BSEB Chairman Kishor was so elated with the achievement of Bihar Board to declare the result in the quickest ever span.
