BHU PAT 2017 Complete Details


The Banaras Hindu University Pre Ayurveda Test commonly known as BHU PAT 2017 is a national level examination. This exam is organized to offer admission to individuals in various courses such as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda (B.Pharm) & Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) for the academic year 2017-18. Those of you who are interested can fill the application form from April, 2017. The Banaras Hindu University provides a total of 120 seats to the individuals for the admission out of which 60 seats are reserved for BAMS course and 30 seats each in B.Pharm & BNYS. The total number of seats for BAMS course may rise or fall which depends upon the approval of Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) / Dept. of AYUSH, Govt. of India. The BHU PAT 2017 entrance exam would be organized on July, 2017.

BHU PAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Those of you who desire to apply for the BHU PAT 2016 examination should satisfy the below conditions in order to be eligible:

You need to be of 17 to 25 years of age as on 31st December, 2016 in order to be eligible for the examination.

You need to be an Indian National and should have completed their HSC/ Intermediate Science/ Pre- Medical Science from a recognized University/ Board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English as their subjects.

You need to score at least 50% of total marks in PCB and English subjects taken together and 40% in case SC/ ST individuals to apply for the test.

You need to follow the given steps to apply for the examination

Step 1: You need to visit the official website of BHU PAT 2016 in order to register for the examination.

Step 2: You need to fill in your personal, qualification and other details as mentioned in the BHU PAT 2016 application form and submit it.

Step 3: To complete the application procedure you would have to pay their application fees online through Debit/ Credit Card or through Internet Banking.

For General/ OBC –> Rs 1200/-

For SC/ ST –> Rs 800/-

  • The test consists of 200 multiple choice objective type questions.
  • BHU PAT exam will be 180 minutes.
  • The distribution of subject and questions of the exam is as follows:

      Yes, there will be negative marking. According to official marking scheme details of BHU PAT 2017 examination, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There won’t be any deduction for the answers which you left without filling (unanswered questions). Each question which you are answering with the right answer will be rewarded with 3 marks.

      Minimum age for this exam is 17 years and you are still 16 years old, you will be completing 17 on this birthday and the requirement for this is 17 years in December 2016, so you are not eligible right now for this examination, all the best for next try
