Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology Course

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (B.Sc. Biotechnology) is a specialized degree in Science which one can perceive after 12th. It is a full time course for the time period of two years by Mumbai University (MU). Interested candidate can apply in any of the college affiliated to the MU. B Sc. Bio Tech.  Degree course is a full time integrated course for the time period of 3 years and is dived in 6 semester’s i. e. 2 semesters per year.  The course involves the exploitation and deep understanding of biological processes at molecular, cellular and organism level.  The focus of the degree is  to provide training in both the molecular basis for biotechnology and the bioprocess technology required for the development of biotechnology products.

B.Sc. Biotechnology Exam Pattern

Internal Assessment – 40%

External examination – 60 %

Written examination will be for 60 marks

Duration – These examinations shall be of two hours duration.

  1. There shall be four questions each of 15 marks. On each unit there will be one question & fourth one will be based on entire syllabus.
  2. All questions shall be compulsory with internal choice within the questions each question will be of 20 to 23 marks with options.
  3. Questions may be sub divided into sub questions a, b, c, d & e only & the allocation of marks depends on the weightage of the topic.
