Bachelor of Hotel Management or BHM is an undergraduate course which introduces to the candidates to the different sections of the hospitality sector. Candidates can secure Admission in BHM, first of all, the candidates need to have basic eligibility criteria in 10+2 pass in any stream. Eligibility of the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
The Basic Eligibility to appear for the BHM is 10+2 i.e. the 12th Standard. Many Colleges also demands a percentile of 50 in the same and even English is required as a subject. Many reputed colleges also have age criteria and the upper age limit is to be set as 22 years for the General and other Backwards Classes category i.e. (OBC) and 25 for the (SC) and (ST) Category.
How to get Admission in Bachelor of Hotel Management
The process of admission in this course is different for each college. The form begins to come from December with the Entrance Test has to be scheduled from April to July as it varies for different institutes. Candidates can also get admission through an Entrance Exam as if the candidate holds a Rank he/she may get Direct Admission.
Many Institutes conducts entrance test for the Admission in the BHM. The AIMA conducts an undergraduate Aptitude Test for the candidates to have an entry to the BHM.
The Entrance Exam test paper are asked on the basis of the following sections or questions

The Candidates who are aspiring for Admission in BHM program also has to appear for an additional Service Aptitude section which contains almost 50 questions and the duration for the exam is 1 hour.
Some of the Institutes offer admission on the basis of merit secured in the HSC. Such Universities invites application and then they declare the list of the selected candidates for the Admission within a fortnight or month of the last date of application.
Certain Colleges offer the Admission through Lateral Entry. The Institutes provides the Admission directly in the second year of the four-year course, for this it is necessary for a candidate to have a three year diploma in Hotel Management or should have cleared 12th with at least 50%.
