  • According to the reports, the examination will be conducted on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at different centers across the nation.

    List of courses offered:

    • Master of Law (LLM):  One year duration
    • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
    • Bachelors of Arts Bachelors of Law (BALLB): Five year duration

    Eligibility criteria:

    Educational qualification:

    BALLB (Hons) programme:

    All of you those who are interested in applying for this course must be intermediate (class 12) pass from a well known state board/university with at least 50%.

    Though, the students who will be appearing for class 12 examinations are also eligible to apply for AILET 2017 exam, only if they meet the above conditions at the time of admission.

    Candidates age must be minimum of 21 years or 23 years in case of the SC/ST candidates.

    LLM programme: Those interested in applying must possess a degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or a correspondent degree from a recognised university with minimum 55 per cent in aggregate.

    PhD programme:

    All of you those who are interested in applying for this course Masters degree in law from any recognised university/institute with at least 55 % or its equivalent (50 % in case of ST/SC persons with disability).or

    You should possess a degree with MPhil in social sciences or humanities of any well known university with minimum 55% or its correspondent or

    Given that the candidates with qualifications in social sciences and humanities may be admitted to the program if they wish to pursue research in the discipline of law with a special focus on Public Policy of Law.

    Paper pattern:

    AILET paper will consist of 150 questions carrying 150 marks that should be attempted in 1 hour 30 minutes.

    The exam will consist of five sections:

    • Basic Mathematics
    • Legal Aptitude
    • English
    • Logical Reasoning
    • General Knowledge
