Lets get you introduced to the DU JAT 2017. The University of Delhi [DU] Bachelor of Management Studies Common Entrance Team was first known as DU BMS CET and has now been renamed as DU JAT– the DU Joint Admission Test. This allows an entrance exam for admission of students to all the 6 Delhi University colleges, offering the BMS courses. First lets summarize the exam.

DU BMS CET 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

In order for you to be eligible you are required to fulfill the following conditions:

  • Applicants are required to have cleared the Senior Secondary School Certificate or CBSE or any other exams recognised by DU.
  • Percentage of marks required are:- General/OBC: atLeast 60%, minimum for SC/ST:50%, CW/PWD: minimum 54%.
  • IMP Note: Admissibility criterion varies according to the courses by various colleges under DU which conduct their respective admission tests through the DU JAT.

DU BMS CET 2017 Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted in a span of two hours and it is an objective type test so you have to think quick! You have to answer 120 multiple choice questions adding up to 360 marks. The 4 sections in the exam, are characterized as Quantifiable Ability, Cognitive&Logical Ability, General English and Business & General Awareness. Every correct answer awards you with 3 marks and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

There are several online forums with sample question papers to help you to prepare for entrance exam.

DU BMS CET 2017 Application Form

Do note that the DU BMS CET 2017 application process is completely online. You need to visit official website and fill in the forms online.

The Application fees are as follows:  Rs. 1000 for General category candidates for all the programmes, Rs. 800 for two programmes and Rs. 600 for one programme. For the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/CW/PwD), the application fee is Rs. 500 for all programmes, Rs. 400 two programmes and Rs. 300, and one programme.

Documents require:  marksheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 exams, valid email ID for communcation, scanned passport sized photograph.

You have to download the DU JAT instruction application form and create a  log-in ID and password and start filling the form. You will need to upload the scanned copy of your photo and a signature. This should not exceed 50KB. Submit the required details and take a print for future reference.

You can make a payment basis the courses selected through debit/credit cards and get payment acknowledgments for the exams fees.

The DU JAT 2017 entrance exam would be conducted in June, 2017
Results will be announced by July,  2017
Counselling process will start by 1st week of July, 2017

DU BMS CET 2017 Result

The first round result or the shortlist for GD PI rounds for BMS and BBA (FIA) has been announced on June 23, late evening. The final admission result will be announced at on July, 2017 (tentative).

The final round of counseling sessions will take place in the 4th week of July 2017 and the classes are set to start in August 2017.

  1. I have studied financial marketing management in 12th standard in which subjects are included English, accountancy, capital market, derivatives market, legal studies. In year 2016 i have applied for bfia and bms but i dont have maths in my 12th standard but than too i got admit card and given the exam so tell am i eligible to apply for it again..
